...they are referred to as "low tar" only in relative value to Nicotine. It was a ratio measurement. Last time company promoted them (Poland?), they were marketed as such because the nicotine content was much higher than the "tar" content relative to standard cigarette ratio. The marketing/promotion was that a smoker would get the nicotine fix satisfied much sooner, so one would smoke less.

It was the flip side of the negative, low nicotine argument, that one would need to smoke more to get the satisfaction (and ingest more tar, etc.).

IMHO...a dead product. (and they missed completely the taste profile of the European smoker) and not the subject of the apparent trend...VLN.
