In her new profile, Carr-Smith will head Groupon’s Local business, including major areas like Beauty & Wellness, Health, Food & Drink, Sales Operations and Things To Do. Prior to Peapod, Carr-Smith looked after the global web business at J. Crew, responsible for leading profitability and growth in mobile and online channels and guiding innovation in Omni-channel and digital commerce. She served as a member of the preliminary management team at Gilt Groupe, responsible for implementing and designing operating systems as the firm advanced from a start-up to a mid-sized firm. Carr-Smith started with her new role effective September 25.
