I agree with that as a Soldier of 20 years - I will always stand and salute our Flag.. FREEDOM - there are other ways to protest or make a person's point across. However, our Flag Should be respected. I do believe in a person's freedom of speech and right to protest; just believe there are other ways to do so. As a Soldier I sacrificed to protect the rights of every American - and if they choose to do it that way; is something we as Soldiers fought to give to every American. However, doing it that way is a disrespect to the Flag, and whatever cause you are fighting for loses it's point. How can anyone demand respect and equality when they can't respect our nation's Flag; when they say they are not proud of America.
