Exactly and I fully agree, but that is apparently lost on this generation currently employed by that industry...

This: $15 is a good look at an example of targeting a fast foodie i.e., McDonald's

I, personally, am not familiar with any eatery that has closed due to lack of help but a quick Google of places that have shuttered due to lack of good workers gets this to start: Upward of 60 restaurants around the Bay Area have closed since the start of September alone, with many citing difficulties like the cost of finding and keeping good employees among other reasons... or this:Help wanted: Restaurants struggle to find staff
...of course in these two examples, it's not just fast foodies but casual dining restaurants as well.
