No problem. 100% correct. Slapping the ask is either someone that was on the bid that will pay a bit higher to buy and "slaps the ask" of someone that never bid and just buys directly into the ask price to "get in". I almost always buy the ask price when entering a ticker unless it is way higher than the bid and shows a big spread.
