There's a few utilities out there if you search for "display dimmer"...I've downloaded and tried Pangobright...once downloaded, run the executable file and it installs an icon on your taskbar on the right side---right click the icon and choices from 20% to 100% brightness pop up...

if you want to get rid of the icon, right-click---exit...

to get rid of the program, just delete it from wherever you downloaded it to...
