I told everyone last year that gold wouldn't hit bottom until the December rate hike and nobody believed me. The year before that I did the same thing. Could this year break the trend, sure, but currency doesn't always dictate what gold will do. I've seen it raise with and go down with it. When I gave my prediction last year I was told by someone that gold would never drop $200 but it did. Currency doesn't always predict what gold will do, I think we've seen that many times just this year alone.

With NK and Trump gold can go up in an instant, that's the wild card for this year. Gold is pretty much like any stock, it takes news of some kind to make it move up, and with gold only doom and gloom makes it move.
