Good to see another poster who shares my disdain for TA and charting. I've searched for years for an academic study that proves that charting has value, except to justify trading addiction (a common mental ailment). Wall Street doesn't criticize charting because it encourages frequent trading.

You'll note that Buffett doesn't even have a computer in his office. I believe BRK's owned MMM at times. I know he's had JNJ, a similar blue chip.

Buying and holding quality stocks like 3M has created fortunes. Two academic Studies have found "The More You Trade The More You Lose."

I've held 3M for many years.
