Actually, they are a competitive alternative. TENS is different from PEMF, and PEMF by all accounts should be better. Of course, we have learned PEMF is much harder to place into retail due to FDA process. But...anyone telling you TENS is not a competitive alternative is viewing thru BIEL tinted glasses or flat out lying.

For example, cupping is an alternative to anti-inflammatory drugs. Dry Needling / Accupuncture is another alternative...massage therapy...chiropractic....and so on and so on. TENS is more pain relief vs PEMF pain relief plus healing. But they ABSOLUTELY should be seen as competitive alternatives to each other. TENS currently has the upper had, well, because it's already in USA retail big box stores.

The largest competitor for BIEL is good old fashioned pain pills....

BIEL has a larger potential gold mine....but don't be fooled by people telling you there are not already other competitive alternatives out there, because there is. period.
