Have you tested your GFCI protected outlet lately? Me neither. The other day the coffee pot did not come on at it's appointed hour. It never tripped and one of the outlets still worked.
There is a reason they have in fine print on them TEST MONTHLY! I shut that circuit down and replaced it this morning.
