I agree with you if it takes more than 1 day then you are charged another commission. I have never had a broker only charge me once for a trade that took multiple days to fill. Now if I bought 100 shares and it filled 1 share at a time all within 1 day then yes only 1 commish....but like you say multiple days then multiple commissions..
