The unbiased truth on bioethanol

http://www.ethanolrfa.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/Ethanol-Industry-Outlook-2017.pdf

Renewable Fuels Association is a consortium of like minded businesses with the same goal. Roughly 40 slides, but gives an honest view of where the industry came from, where it's at and the challenges facing ahead. Keep in mind that these are ALLM's peers. Spare you the details but share slides of interest;
* slide 24 - cellulosic ethanol
* slide 26 - status of oil production and impact on ethanol
* slide 28 - feed versus fuel myth (very interesting)

Did you notice the same corn ethanol process diagram I shared a few posts ago? Can you show me where their waste is? Contrary to ALLM's statements, corn ethanol production wastes nothing and utilizes everything.

At the end of the slide pack is a 2017 list of bioethanol sites. Overwhelmingly large number using corn....in spite of the fact ALLM would lead you to believe is bad (See slide 28). Count how many cellulosic ethanol plants are listed, note their production capacity and then how many gallons produced in 2017. Of the pure cellulosic facilities...not one has made ethanol, which is what ALLM is proposing to do with the plant in Florida.

Here's what EPA Administrator Pruitt had to say;

Another informative read;

I have researched and read countless articles from all different sources on cellulosic ethanol and derived sugars, sharing them with you in these posts and one thing is abundantly clear;

ALLM is never mentioned by it's peers...ever. No one knows of their technology or does and finds zero value in their claims.

This letter repeats the same claims from the previous 4 years, with not one license in place or bolt on established.

I call shenanigans.
