Thought this was a very telling chart for SPY. Not looking at the gains by day, which actually is interesting, it says that since 1993, 100% of all SPY gains came from ON, close to open. And this week is surely no exception.
Maybe there really is something to the old saying that amateurs trade at the open and professionals trade at the close. I know that for this year, I am doing more and more of my trading at the close or at least late pm.
