Pete, Fidelity will not allow a limit sell order for more than 1.5x the current selling price of a stock. When I questioned this limitation I was told it generates too many unnecessary orders. However, I believe there are some other motives for disallowing this. I mentioned to the representative that I may be considering moving my accounts to another brokerage firm because of this limitation. It would be nice to have a list of brokerage firms that do not have this limitation.
