From space, these Caribbean islands were green. Irma turned them brown. NASA tweeted out side-by-side images of the Caribbean on Aug. 25 and Sept. 10 — before and after Irma hit. The images were captured by the Operational Land Imager on the Landsat 8 satellite.
Before, the islands are a bright green. After, they're a dull brown color:
