Great DD on this topic. The point is well taken. I see now that it is not the sales of a popular book which adds value for an author. It is what follows.

Regarding Leolah Brown and the subjects involved, I suppose those early evening gossip shows on the tube would roll out the red carpet for her and milk the story. And temporarily, she would be in the spotlight opening other doors for her.

Now that I read your DD, I see the reality. There is nothing to get excited about. Then there's this >>>

Ken Williams continues, This is a great acquisition and we will be looking into making this autobiography into a movie after its release. The movie will be significantly darker than Angela Bassetts version

With only a 25% stake, I don't understand EGOH's leverage here. Ken would be sitting around a table with folks who own the other 75%. What influence/leverage can he possibly have in the making of a movie? I suspect none.

And even if the best case scenario for the book materializes and movie studios rush in to want a piece of the action -- and if the movie somehow turns into a blockbuster (unlikely) -- I expect Ken would initiate a privately held start-up on his own in cahoots with a movie studio fronting the money.

But honestly, I have no idea how a movie is funded and I'm not even going to look. I don't care at this point...just assuming EGOH shareholders won't benefit. I wonder why I feel that way?

There is so much cynicism on this message board and I plead guilty to being a large part of it, but who can blame us?
