Updating of YSYB website reveals discrepancies

IS IT 10,000 PIGS, OR 30 MILLION PIGS? Of course, 30 million pigs is ridiculous, so maybe it's 30,000 ?

In JUNE, we posted this paragraph from the YSYB website stating ((( 10,000 PIGS. )))

( "Xing'an farms is a comprehensive enterprise integrating aquaculture, processing and marketing. It mainly feeds live pigs and feeds nearly 10,000 pigs and feeds cattle, sheep and chickens and geese. Feeding livestock and poultry varieties of good, superior breeding environment, advanced technology, Heilongjiang Province is the eastern region of the larger modern livestock and poultry breeding processing base." )

Yesterday we found the same YSYB website paragraph to state ((( 30 MILLION PIGS ))):

( "Xing'an farms is a comprehensive enterprise integrating aquaculture, processing and marketing. It is mainly engaged in raising pigs and keeping nearly 30 million pigs and keeping cattle, sheep and chickens and geese. Feeding livestock and poultry varieties of good, superior breeding environment, advanced technology, Heilongjiang Province is the eastern region of the larger modern livestock and poultry breeding processing base." )

We remember reading & talking to CPA's & MBA friends, & here on this board too of YSYB's TWO MILLION TONS PROCESSING CAPACITY PER YEAR FROM FIVE FACTORIES.. ( Before they took down the ENGLISH VERSION WEBSITE.)
Searching for that again came up not found so far. SO TWO MILLION TONS PROCESSING CAPACITY CAN'T READILY BE VERIFIED TODAY. This is what happens with website updating, but is usually news something good is to happen soon. We know YSYB expansion growth has been phenomenal. That is indisputable.

PRESS RELEASE: 9/10/2009:
Yanglin Soybean Launches English Version Website:
( "To provides easy access to Yanglin financial information, news and events

The company added that the website provides an easy access to Yanglin financial information, a live quote of the company's share trading, recent fundamental information, news and events, and a link to SEC-filed documents. The investor relations section will be continuously updated and expanded to reflect the growing interest of the investment community.
Yanglin Soybean is a domestic soybean processors in China. The company manufactures soybean oil, salad oil and soybean meal with an annual processing capacity of 520,000 metric tons in 2008. The company's products are sold directly to its customers or through distributors. Majority of Yanglin Soybean's customers are reportedly located in Northern China." )

Definitely time consuming keeping this all straight, for sure, with all the distractions these days. We know CEO Shulin Liu runs a very tight ship, so to speak. Even Google has mentioned BOOK sources from studies of YSYB's early success from writers discussions & interviews with principals & employees that demonstrate a very strict job environment. IF the two million tons processing capacity from five (5) factories can be re-verified, then our present $300. Soybean meal per ton price can be extrapolated & enhanced drastically, which was my original thinking.
But 2 million tons processing capacity times $300. Equals $600 million; so that can't be right either.
But what if that 121,000 soybean meal figure from 2012's 10K was doubled, tripled, or quadrupled?
121,000 tons soybean meal X $300 = $36,300,000. (?)
242,000 tons soybean meal X $300 = $72,600,000. (?)
The answer is that processing soybeans does NOT equate to the same tonnage of meal output.
No data from memory, but that's sourced easily. We'll check for it.
Digging continues on YSYB straight talk & up to date info
.
( "About 90 per cent of China’s estimated 40 million pig farmers raise fewer than 50 hogs and account for about one third of supply, according to Dan Wang, an analyst at The Economist Intelligence Unit." )
Researching info with digging efforts continues.

CHINA’S TOP SOYBEAN PRODUCER BANS GMO CROPS
01/19/2017 | Crop Production Research, Soybean News

China’s top soybean producing province has banned GMOs, partly to differentiate them from imported soybeans.

( QUOTED FROM IOWA (PRO-GMO) SOYBEAN ASSOCIATION WHO LOVES PESTICIDE GLYPHOSATE! )

By Jane Li, AFC Consulting

"China’s top soybean and corn producing province adopted a ban on GMOs last month as part of a revision of Heilongjiang’s food safety regulations. The regulation stipulates that GM food crops, specifically rice, corn, and soybeans, cannot be planted in the province starting May 2017. The province has also banned the illegal production and marketing of GM grain seeds as well as the illegal production, processing, and sales of food products containing GMOs. The regulation demands that GM agricultural products and foods containing GM material must be placed on designated areas of retail stores or markets.

The ban is partly in response to the discovery of illegal GM soybean planting in the province. Heilongjiang accounts for over 30 percent of soybean production in China. Its soybean planting was at 5.82 million acres in 2015, down more than 50 percent compared to 2009, as a growing number of farmers have switched to corn. The gap between corn and soybean yields has widened from 189 percent in 2000 to 254 percent in 2015. In September 2016, some 10 percent of Heilongjiang soybean farmers were found illegally planting smuggled GMO soybean seeds despite China’s ban on planting GMO commercial crops. The farmers had been told that GMO seeds would increase their harvest yields.

The regulation is also seen as a move by Heilongjiang province to protect its product from imported soybeans. For the past 10 years, the Heilongjiang soybean industry has been working to position its products as “non- GMO” to differentiate them from imported soybeans. They have sought to leverage fears about GMOs to portray imported soybeans as “unsafe” and have used food safety concerns as a means of protecting local interests.

This ban has created controversy in China. Some media outlets praised it as a model for food safety implementation for other provinces while other outlets affiliated with the central government fired back with criticism. They criticized Heilongjiang legislators for lacking scientific and legal knowledge. The ban conflicts with the State Council’s authority over agricultural GMOs and the pledge to pursue commercialization of pest-resistant corn and herbicide-tolerant soybeans in the 13th Five Year Plan for science and technology innovation. It also indicates the divided opinion on biotechnology development in China’s agriculture sector. Challenges like these will likely continue, as consumers and local government decision makers hold an insufficient understanding of biotechnology.
