As an old Helitacker, I am really impressed with the air show going over Houston. Dozens of rotary wing aircraft sharing airspace is always a challenge, I would imagine the air attack boss is coordinating from the military or coast guard, as the amount of heroic "cowboying" would exceed civilian air control capabilities. Watching Blackhawks and coast guard Sea King ships are cool, but they have auto hover...

I have seen 206s and 212s threading hoist lines down through power lines and trees which takes the manual flying skills worthy of a video game with no do-overs, the lack of flight incidents is amazing.

I visualize some air service manager circling high above it in a fixed wing with a cup of coffee in one hand and a bottle of Maalox in the other.

Add in that it is not still, stable air, and because of the length of the lines they are hovering out of ground effect, and one has to tip one's hat to them.
