Exactly with Boreal Water Collection generating revenue and nothing on the balance sheet other than debt? By what measure should Francine be allowed to just walk away? What regulating agency should be obligated to investigate this potential fraud on behalf of investors and others who were unable to stop or intervene on Francine's plans? Can anyone open a for profit public company potentially commit fraud and no attention paid to it? I would think that there are laws at least in the United States that would protect shareholders and creditors from this kind of activity. It is not enough to suggest that shareholders should have sold their positions after Francine had put the company into a death spiral, if there was wrongdoing, then let it be prosecuted.
