Did Field's aim his car at protesters or did he panic after his car was attacked? Why didn't he steer to the right and hit more protesters instead of hitting the car in front of him?

Viedos show that as he passed a man on a bike, his BRAKE LIGHTS WERE ON. The road runs down hill.

This video shows a man on the left with a bat or stick attacking the rear of Field's car.

Did he panic and just want to get out of there?

What would you do if someone starting hitting your car in the rear?

Field's is a sick Nazi lover, no contesting that fact, but that is not a crime.

If you compare the police actions in Charlottesville and Phoenix, it is clear to see that the Charlottesville police totally failed. While the Phoenix police forced the Trumpers to exit the Convention Center to the north, they held the counter-protestors a block away to the South.

The Charlottesville police forced the White Supremacists to exit down the two pairs of stairs onto Market St. where the Antifa and BLM counter-protestors were armed and waiting for them.

Further - the police were ordered to stand down and let the attacks begin.

Another protester, Hawk Newsome, president of Black Lives Matter of Greater New York, told CNN affiliate WCAV the police response to "Unite the Right" was different than at rallies he's attended in the past. He said the police in Charlottesville were too far away to prevent any violence.
"The police actually allowed us to square off against each other," Newsome said. "There were fights and the police were standing a block away the entire time. It's almost as if they wanted us to fight each other."
Neither Charlottesville Police nor Virginia State Police immediately responded to CNN's requests for comment. The city of Charlottesville also did not respond.

Members of the alt-right groups were attacked from the north by state police. Members of antifa and Black Lives Matter came in from the south and the east.

Protestors should have been forced to exit the park to the north instead of being forced to exit on Market street, (yelllow and white arrows).

Gov. Terry McAuliffe declared a state of emergency. The state police took control of the scene and pushed rally attendees and protesters together on East Main Street. Police then stood back, only stepping in to intervene after a white supremacist ran a Dodge Challenger through a crowd of protesters.
