The scenario you describe is one of the two that occurred to me thirty seconds after Glenn was dismissed. Then, I told myself that made no sense. While defaulting on debt or filing for bankruptcy is embarrassing it beats out and out fraud and subsequent jail time so I convinced myself that option two made the most sense: Glenn was dismissed for making all those promises he couldn't deliver on. Perhaps it was a combination of the two.
