I don't have knowledge of the difference between the two methods used.
But I imagine the method used last year was to test extraction from the concentrates.
What the company is using now is a pilot plant that will be maxed out to show throughput and costs, and hopefully prove a method that can be scaled up.
The output may not be the same because the method used last year to get pure PMs could be cost prohibitive for a copy with very little money especially at this point for a pilot plant. Instead, they're shipping an alloy to a refiner and they will separate out the PMs.
