One good thing with a cash divi is that we don't need an institution. As you say, sentiment will change in a few minutes (and especially after SIAF has actually paid the divi a few times).
We don't have a lot of free shares available, and what (long-term) retail investor will sell if we get a yield of say 25% while waiting for the TRW-divi? Sure, if the PPS doubles then many will sell of (parts of) their share, but our current PPS will be history.
One problem we face is that the ones that still believes in SIAF are saturated, either having a too large stake (compared to the ever declining PPS) and/or not enough cash to stock up. Retail will increase it's share (at least to a certain level of PPS), and people waiting for the PPS to stop declining - as well as people who buy on TA - will have to jump in as well, because the PPS is unlikely to go down to the current levels again with the cash divi.
