ombudsman: an official appointed to investigate individuals' complaints against maladministration, especially that of public authorities.

I have had a few conversations with Finra obudsman and all though they cant tell me specific info related to DOLV, the Director has promised me that he is closely watching our application and making sure there is no unnecessary delays or obstacles.
