Thanks for that info Good stuff I have my own plans for survival. We were without electricity for a week after an ice storm pulled down power poles and wires throughout our area. First, fill the bathtub with water. Be aware that most homes have a hot water heater with some 40 or more gallons of clean water. Velveeta cheese doesn't require refrigeration so have canned tuna and some pasta available to make a simple meal. Cans of soup, chili, canned chicken and other meats along with other canned goods can be heated up easily. Learn how to make a rocket stove, it only needs twigs for fuel. http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-make-a-Rocket-Stove-from-a-10-Can-and-4-So/ I have solar chargers for phone and laptop. I have 4 solar lamps. I have two dozen 500 calorie BOOST at two a day, I am good for almost 2 weeks. I also have a 2 week supply of dog food for my dog. I have a bike so I can get around if there is someplace to go. If power isn't restored after two weeks, we are all doomed.
