I am only posting this because of the use of proper terminology. I argued with some non-firefighter for two days on here about the use of the word "burn out" versus the lay person use of "backfire".
There's three women on this crew (Crew 6 from the Lassen National Forest), the only thing staged about it was I got them to stop what they were doing for 30 seconds to take this photo, they were prepping for a burn out that night, King Fire on the El Dorado National Forest west of Lake Tahoe. -steve whitby
