August 17,18--More of the same. More of the same. 90s at 4 pm, 78 at 4 am. No clouds to speak of. Certainly no chance of rain. I feed the cat, water the seedlings and the brassicas, go home, come back in the late afternoon, feed the cat, water the seedlings, then go home.
It will be this way for another week. Forget direct sowing mustard green and kale seeds in this heat. Even the Florida broadleaf wouldn't survive it.
What's left is go home, which I did this afternoon, and pickle some peppers.
Maybe the Florida Broadleaf, which I've grown in prior seasons, will look as good as this specimen.

The Nasdaq's third tier, the AMEX can be just as bad, and last but not least, the OTC, it seems, are financial venues that reward failure.
