Kentucky and bourbon are synonymous. That's why we're excited to present the tellers for our Sept. 5 Louisville Storytellers night about bourbon.

Here are the people who are scheduled to step into the spotlight on our stage:

Loreal Gavin: A "Food Network Star" contestant and "Cutthroat Kitchen" winner who's known for adding bourbon to many of her dishes. Don't forget to check out her Maker's Mark tattoo.

Pamela Heilmann: After spending 15 years at Beam Global Inc., Pamela moved to Michter's Distillery where she became master distiller in October.

Wes Henderson: The founder and chief innovative officer for Angel's Envy Distillery, which produces bourbon finished in port casks.

Freddie Johnson: A third-generation employee at the Buffalo Trace Distillery, where he works as a tour guide.

Pat Melton: The Franklin County sheriff who caught the culprits affiliated with the Pappy Heist — a highly-publicized theft that received international attention.

Trey Zoeller: The founder of Jefferson's Bourbon, a brand known for its aging experimentation. Most recently, the company sent bourbon barrels on a trip down the Mississippi River.

Louisville Storytellers Project is a night of live storytelling. Our reporters curate and host nights of true, first-person stories from neighbors and notables.

The Sept. 5 show will be held at Ice House in downtown Louisville. Premier tickets include a pre-show reception with snacks and are $13. General Admission tickets are for those who want to get right to the storytelling and cost $10.
