The proposed narrative is kinda silly.

1) It is acknowledged that Seymour's failed saliva business was a scam. So Seymour was a con man throughout the 1980's and '90s.

2) Seymour's next venture was NNVC, where he raised money on the basis that an unknown chemical engineer with no training or experience in virology had discovered the "penicillin of viral infections". Now it is proposed that Seymour did this with purely honest and good intentions.

3) Next it is proposed that Seymour spontaneously turned back into being a crooked con man on around his 75th birthday.


And someone really thinks this all makes perfect sense.
