I hope the board will put Krzanich in one of their autonomous cars and let it drive him to retirement.

Sorry guys - but the Mobileye purchase seems to be a winner.

One after another carmanufacturer is agreeing with Mobileye+Intel.

BMW + Intel + Mobileye + Delphi(a big car-part-manufacturer) was the first.

Then Continental (next big car-part-manufacturer) was joining.

Then Toyota was joining.

Then Fiat-Chrysler was joining.


Toyota is second biggest car manufacturer.
Fiat Chrysler is 8th biggest car manufacturer.
BMW is the most profitable car manufacturer.

Audi in its current A8 with first autonomous capabilities is using a motherboard with two competing technologies. Nvidia as SoC and on the other side an Intel Altera FPGA + Intel Mobileye-customchip + Intel VxWorks-Operating-System.

So it remains to be seen in what direction Audi+Volkswagen will go from here on.

Tesla is a lonely cowboy with no consortium around.
So they have to be best with battery-technology and best with autonomous tech and so on and so on...
