Divesting of the Shaw Group, in my opinion, would be an unwise move.
It has been integrated into the company (as badly as it seems) and disentangling it out would prove to be a nightmare from logistical, financial and construction points. It's there and they have to make the best of it.
The timing for the acquisition was bad, not knowing that the price of oil would collapse 50%. But, who knew?
Yet, management appears to be negligent by failing to adjustment its business to the drop in the price of crude. Perhaps it was time to pull in their horns but they didn't, proudly announcing contract after contract.
