I felt exactly the same way when my mother tried to teach me to iron. She said "Every woman has to know how to iron a man's shirt".

Why shouldn't every MAN learn to iron his own shirts? Granted, those were different times, but I did believe that, even back then. And it's not as if my mother DID iron my father's shirts; she sent them out.

I found a few scorch marks solved my problem.
