So last night after i finished my walk...i was sitting on the back porch being serenaded by a multitude of crickets and tree frogs. And as i sat there i was looking up into the heavens and just thinking about things...about life...my life...and how God has blessed me so. And by that..not talking about money and material things...stuff...but how He so richly has blessed my life thru my relationship with Jesus...and by the power of the Holy Spirit living in me...with a joy...peace and contentment that is just so awesome...and i was thinking...what did i do to deserve this...and of course the answer is...nothing! Now dont get me wrong...i had to believe...i had to place my faith and trust in God...and i surrender my life each day as best i can...and ive had to make a blue zillion decisions these past 21 years of knowing Jesus as my lord and savior...the right decisions...to keep my eyes focused on Him and not the glitter and gold of the world and the other stuff that i use to put in my body while i was in self destruct mode for those 25 years till age 40...however...even though that sounds like a lot on my part...the truth of the matter is...as i was sitting there in the dark and night air listening to the peepers..i thought..i really didnt do nothing. It is all about God the Father...God the Son and God the Holy Spirit...and all they have done for me these past 61 years. As i sat there looking into the heavens...and really and truly understanding just how small and insignificant i am in the grand scheme of the universe...i gave the good Lord all the praise and glory that even though i dont amount to a hill of beans...He loves me perfectly...unconditionally...and not only will He never leave my side...He also will never leave my heart...me...little ole me...Rick j Sane...and i have the creator of the universe living in me and i get to go to heaven because i simply made Jesus first and foremost in my life...How awesome is that!
