The stupidity doesn't rest so much in the choice of GPRO, a decent enough longshot. The dumb thing, seen over and over with "players" here, is betting the farm on one or two stocks. And compounding that error by averaging down when ones plan blows up.

Keep in mind that virtually all firms go out of business in time.

There's a reason Buffett has about 80 investments, and about 10 major ones. Even when he was getting started 50 years ago he was sensibly diversified.
