How Do Your Coatings Compare To NASA Developed Ceramic Coatings?
Many of the ceramic coating products will market themselves as "NASA technology," this may or may not be the case. Ceramic coatings are not a patented technology and they are sold by many different companies, with different manufacturing standards, under different names.
Ceramic coatings typically obtain a good deal of their insulating benefit from reflectivity off the white or light colored surface, making them more effective outdoors than inside where there is no sun to reflect off of the coating, and by the use of small glass beads, or ceramic microspheres, which trap air.
Synavax™ coatings unique Hydro-NM-Oxide material creates a network of nano-sized tunnels, which the heat energy has to navigate. This greatly slows down the transfer of heat, which in turn gives Synavax™ coatings their insulating abilities. Also, Synavax™ coatings thermal conductivity is lower than published values found for ceramic coatings. (Lower thermal conductivity equates to better insulating ability).
Additionally, our products come in a clear version for visual or ultrasound inspection without need for removal. They also offer other benefits such as:
Corrosion Prevention
Chemical Resistance
Performance up to 400F/204C
UV Resistance
Mold/Mildew Resistance
