Makes you wonder how you ever get a fill. OTC market works a little different from the regular markets. The minimum size to even get your bid/ask to show is 1 lot, a lot being 100 shares.

I inherited 56 shares of a very thinly traded OTC stock. Because of the rules, my limit order ask would never show and I couldn't get fills even though it traded higher than my ask. The only way I could ever get a fill was if the bid came up to my ask and that was never likely to happen. At times the bid/ask spread was 10%.

So I either had to do a market order and just take the bid, or when the ask dropped down to a reasonable price pick up another 44 shares. The money amount wasn't important, but just on principal I picked up another 44 shares so I could then get my order to show and get a better price. It paid a little over 3% dividend so I was in no hurry to sell.

Plus I learned something about how the OTC markets work. They are definitely different from the regular ones.
