I know this thought may be a stretch but:

Sometimes I wonder if they are waiting for the moment when they can go from zero to sixty overnight in order to avoid becoming an immediate buyout target.

If the product is truly game changing then 5Barz is a minnow in a pond with giant sharks. Any large Networking company could snap them up overnight. But the higher the stock price the less attractive a buyout? Maybe?

I was just reading something about EMC's ScaleIO which was developed in Stealth Mode. In less than 6 months after the startup ScaleIO publically launched their product EMC snapped them up for $200 M.

5Barz have not exactly been operating in Stealth Mode but if the product is truly interesting enough or a game changer, I could certainly see someone snapping them up. Maybe now they are in stealth mode?

Ok, maybe just wishful thinking!
