No assets means no assets
The Agorasheep are having a hard time wrapping their heads around the notion that the patents are not assets as the patents have no value. The patents never did have value, and of that I'm absolutely certain. Lawsuits filed by patent trolls may have some value for finite periods of time, until the defendants realize that the gravamen if those lawsuits are baseless, that the parties and lawyers behind those lawsuits have no interest in pursuing actual hearings or trials on the merits of those claims, and especially once the defendants and their lawyers realize that the claimants are running out of money to prosecute the specious claims.
When these realizations occur then the nuisance settlement model has run its course, the defendants stop feeding the pigeon and the pigeon dies. The Chapter 7 is the death of the pigeon. The pigeon has declared that it has no assets, it has finally made that admission on its death bed. I, as well as many others, knew the aforesaid truth for some time. It was apparent in all of the filings, yet others heard what they wanted to and believed what made them feel hopeful in the face of overwhelming evidence that the nuisance settlement model had run its course.
