that is quite possible. it is taking an unusually long time and the i.r. has been perfectly vague on the process. why? something is not right.

bleeds back to trips?

eventually. after the flippers are done flipping and the cross traders are done crossing and the tape painters get done painting.

SEC suspension?

good possibility and i think the suspension notice would contain this phrase. "we would like to thank finra for their cooperation in this matter".
