No sweat Mike. I enjoy this board as there is a long list of intelligent and insightful people,each with his/her own opinions,ideas and investment strategy. I never thought I would post on a message board as I'm not that expressive with my thoughts most of the time. Stock investing is a passion I have always had, outside of running a chainsaw!
As far as my duties fighting wildfires - thank you for the compliment. Its been a long, sometimes hard, very rewarding journey or sorts thats lasted 23 years. It has taken me to some very cool places under some not-so-cool circumstances. Working with some of the best and bravest mankind has to offer, and helping complete strangers that are always (well almost) very grateful. That in itself is worth the risk and why I deeply enjoy doing it, no matter how hard things can get at time with no sleep,showers,bed or "creature comforts" of home for sometimes months on end. I think its made me a better man and more understanding of people in general and just how different people are as I go from place to place. From being in Alaska and dealing with folks who intentionally want to "disappear" from society, to watching the ever welcoming Flat-Head Indians in Montana "reward" our crew with a ceremonial tribal dance. What I do to make for a living is still very easy when you compare what our men and women are doing overseas...that thought puts everything into perspective, and then I realize I'm not so brave after all, and what I do isn't that "hard" compared to what our military folks endure on a day to day basis.
