I believe the authorized shares is 3B and the reason given for this high number was to implement a poison pill defense (as if they would be susceptible to a hostile takeover in the first place). The original share count when first incorporated was less than 30M if memory serves me correctly. I spoke to Camille on the phone a couple of years ago and actually took the time to visit their 'office' in mtl then prompty sold the bulk of my shares shortly after. I only keep a representative amount in my portfolio to keep me reminded of my past mistakes.
