You can't compare Rock Creek to Haloid/Xerox. They never filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy after being in the hole for about $60 million dollars.
The Company is gone. Shut down. There is no company left at this point. Just a handful of largely valueless assets to be liquidated. And based on the bankruptcy court filings, there are not exactly a number of bidders tripping over themselves to acquire these assets.
The belief that these largely worthless assets will suddenly be worth $70 million or more overnight, and there is someone out there willing to pay that in cash, is completely unrealistic. A fantasy.
