AIMphotonics is a great cross platform setup by the visionary people sponsered by USA gouverment. Europe is leading in many way this race with PhotonDelta as counterpart. USA felt it needed to bet on this, in order not to be left behind. The marriage between electrons and photons is something completely different then what technology is today. So, let's all work together on this they must have thought and AIM and PhotonDelta joined forces. So more international forces working together benifitting photonics as a whole.

UCSB is working in the network of AIMPhotonics, and in a way CABN is gaining acces to better people and facilities going forward. Plus that a lot of connectings can be made being in that pool. Many questions today but the one thing going for CABN is their focus on photonics with a good connected new CEO. This could all be good. Let's hope we know a little more in a few weeks.
