Big difference (time & situation). Many conflicting issues, but some seem true. What is definite is that the Embassy is not issuing Tourist or Fiance' Visas to Filipinos for the US right now. If/when denied, have to wait 6 months to apply again. Conflicting information on whether the US recognizes marriages here, originated in the Philippines.
Been working for months on this.
Now, she is going to work in Israel (at least a year). Easier to get a Visa from Israel for the US. Quite a heartache, and flights TO Israel are about 3x the price than to the Philippines. Flights From Israel are not too bad.
One thing I now know, getting her here is difficult but most important. Whatever the case or type of Visa, once you marry an American citizen here, they cannot deport her as long as you can show a history and legal marriage certificate. Then you work on everything else.
My goal is for dual citizenship.
Just hope I live long enough to see all this through. :-/
