Yes, imo the raspberry is better then the blackberry and if your area like mine you can go pick blackberries for free on side of road. So the raspberry should have best place to grow in order to give you the best yield.

I do grow blackberries here in one spot I got a start from a guy I met who calls them triple crown or something like that. They are huge like a boysenberry. What is nice is they are thorn less. Second year with these huge crop coming in few weeks.
