That's false. The license is non-exclusive and non-sublicenseable (except to an end user)/non-transferable.

As for when it was signed, the successor-in-interest of the licensor generally steps into the shoes of the predecessor-in-interest and inherits all the rights and control options of the predecessor.

So, you're wrong. IBM owns and controls Watson and all little YIPI has is a non-transferable NON-exclusive license. Which, BTW, is subject to termination by IBM.
