You've been a major baseball fan for a long time - you'd fit right in with my family, we're all baseball addicts.
I think the Pirates just happened to catch the Giants playing good - they've lacked chemistry this year but have won (thankfully) their last 6 games. The Astros have been spectacular so far, I was thrilled to see 5 players make the All-Stars. Even though Marwin Gonzalez should have been named imo, he's played every position on the team (excluding pitcher & catcher), and is batting over .300.
I'll get off my soapbox now, my friends all ask if I'm his agent lol.
I've been to a few games at Angels Stadium, love their park. My great-great-grandfather played AA ball for the old Los Angeles Angels, formerly a team in the Pacific Coast League - I understand they played their games in Washington Park, downtown. I'm partial to AT&T Park (no surprise lol), but haven't really visited many other stadiums. I'm like you though, I'd love to go to every ballpark to watch a game. Your park and Yankee Stadium are at the top of my wish list.
What did you think about the Rangers stadium? I was not impressed, it was the hottest place on earth, at least that I've visited, bar none - people arriving in swimsuits although there's no pool lol. We bought some frozen lemonade just to put the cold cups on our heads.
It's awesome that you coach too, I bet some of your enthusiasm will rub off on your players.
I hope the Pirates beat the Phillies for you this week!
Happy 4th!!
