It's easy to find bad stocks. Or even dreadful stocks. But getting the timing right on a short is very difficult. Even hedge funds do very little shorting nowadays.

Or as some sage put it: A Stock -- Or The Whole Market-- Can Stay Irrational Longer Than You Can Stay Solvent.
