As has been pointed out, sub-penny stocks are an obvious risk. You never know when dilution and R/S could take place. Putting $5,000 in a stock like this, right now, just isn't smart. But...putting $500? I don't think that's going to kill most of us, and you could get a nice return.

Heck, people are betting lots of money on RiteAid now, and nobody knows for sure what will happen there. Yes, it has a better chance, but to really win, you have to be willing to bet $5,000 or so. Here, you can bet $500 and have a shot at a big return.
