4retire, unless I'm missing something AT was given options not shares. The acquisition of DFI was in shares. Of course there has been criticism here about the purchase of DFI with differing views. But shares granted are considerably harder to cancel than options. Especially when the shares were granted years ago and may well have been sold.

Whether AT deserves the options is a different issue, but the options are performance based in that they only have value if the stock were higher.

Ultimately I agree with you that it is the BOD that is responsible for the actions of employees. There appears to be consensus, save for one, that AT may not be the best person for 'product manager', and that she should be replaced by someone with a background in software engineering.
